This is the story of an overpayment scam. Its a common scam to use on artists on the internet. It works by a scam artist sending a fake check to a mark and the mark committing fraud by cashing it and sending a bunch of money to the scammer. Pretty effed up taking advantage of artists this way. Anyway, back in 2019 a scammer going by the name Pamela Mcallister decided to hit me up, and as I was a bit familiar with the tactic, I figured lets try something fun.
