We're all Astronauts Sometimes... delves into the psychology of Life Magazine's early 1960's astronaut portraiture. What were the intentions and purposes behind these strange photo spreads showing astronauts and model rockets and globes? Was it supposed to be an 'everyman' portrait? Some sort of biographical hero documentation? When thinking about these strange bio-pic portraits meant to represent heroes, by forcing them into awkward uncomfortable poses I decided to clarify their meaning for the modern day.
